Public legal education in Scotland
The Scottish Civil Justice Advisory Group published a consultation, ‘Ensuring effective access to appropriate and affordable dispute resolution’ in August 2010 and hosted a seminar on 13th September with Professor Dame Hazel Genn as their keynote speaker. Presentations from Hazel Genn and Sarah O'Neill, head of policy at Consumer Focus can be found on the website .
The consultation considered the Scottish Civil Courts Review’s recommendation that the promotion of public legal education should be an element of any strategy to improve access to justice.
